Yummy Apple Cake with Butter Sauce

This is my grammy's special recipe.

INGREDIENTS

2 cups raisins

1 cup walnuts

4 cups diced apples

2 tsp cinnamon

½ tsp salt

2 cups sugar

1 cup cold coffee + 2 tsp soda (mixed together)

2 eggs

1 cup melted butter

2 tsp vanilla

2 ½ cups flour

DIRECTIONS

Put ingredients together in a bowl. Add flour last, then mix well. Place in a buttered 9x13 pan and bake 50 minutes at 350*. Serve with Butter Sauce (recipe below).

Butter Sauce

1 cup sugar

½ cup cream

½ cup butter

1 tsp vanilla

Bring to a boil, remove from heat. Serve warm over cake.
